Nchimunya was born in Zambia and raised in Denmark. After college, she pursued a degree in music and subsequently embarked on a career in fashion, contributing her talents to renowned luxury fashion houses in San Francisco and New York.
Nchimunya collaborated with Rachel Johnson, a Celebrity Fashion Stylist and CEO at Thomas Faison Agency, where she played a pivotal role, assisting high-profile clients such as LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Amar’e Stoudemire, and Victor Cruz.
In 2012, Nchimunya, along with Joseph Mizzi, co-founded the 14+ Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to constructing and managing schools throughout Africa. Currently overseeing two schools in Zambia, the foundation provides quality arts-based education to over 500 children.
In 2013, Nchimunya established her own styling, fashion and lifestyle agency, working with notable figures such as Matt Kemp, Jason Heyward, and Kevin Durant.
Founded in 2020, Nchimunya furhter expanded her vision through the DesigNCHIMUNYA Interior Design firm. DesigNCHIMUNYA focuses on seamlessly blending Scandinavian simplicity with Africa's artisanal heritage, incorporating elements of black culture and visionaries.
Today, Nchimunya collaborates closely with Kevin Durant, serving as his stylist, interior designer, and lifestyle manager. She remains dedicated to exploring new creative avenues and is committed to expanding her advocacy work in Africa.
